Building Your Makeup Collection

Hey Beauties!

          Just getting started on your makeup collection? Or maybe, you want to make sure you have the essentials? Here are my top tips for having a great makeup collection. You can continue growing our collection as you figure out which looks you want to create!

• Mascara: I always have two mascaras in my kit at all times. One is usually my trusted favorite and the second is a new one that I want to try out. For me, that’s the Maybelline Lash Sensational (trusted fave) and right now I have the Maybelline The Colossal Curl Bounce (here).

• Brow products: I have sparse thin eyebrow hairs so achieve a fuller look, I use the ABH Brow Definer Triangular Brow Pencil to fill in and the NYX Cosmetics Micro Brow Pencil to define the ends of my brows. I also use the CoverGirl clear mascara to help set my brows before I work on them.

• Face Coverage: It is good to have at least two different formular for face coverage so you can choose between them depending on the look you’re trying to achieve. I have my favorite liquid foundation which is the Huda Beauty #FauxFilton Luminous Matte Foundation as well as the MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation for days where I just want a light and natural look.

• Eyeliner: It is so important to have an eyeliner that you like working with whether it is a liquid liner or a gel pencil liner because it really helps to pull your look together. I love Loreal’s The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner.

• Eyes: A good palette just makes it easier to create multiple looks, especially one with black. I feel like every eyeshadow palette should come with a black! My fave is the ABH Soft Glam II palette.

• Lips: Have products to create a nude lip and a bright lip, and you’re good to go! The bright lip can be a red or a plum, or both!
